The Wild Beasts
limited edition box set of prints
This box holds a total of 18 images: 1 color archival inkjet portrait, 1 color archival inkjet landscape, and 1 black and white silver gelatin portrait made for each of the first 6 members of The Wild Beasts.
The portraits are 14”h x 11”w and the landscapes are 11”h x 17”w. Each print is covered with archival tissue paper, and each set of images is separated by a 4-ply, dark gray matte board. Each matte board is titled with hand-applied gold leaf.
The archival inkjet images are printed on Canson Infinity Rag Photographique 310gsm, which has a matte finish. The silver gelatin prints are contact prints from the negatives produced by the 8x10 camera, printed on Ilford pearl paper with a soft reflectivity. This box is the only place the silver gelatin prints are shown.
The box is made of natural tiger maple and stained black. Its patterns are revealed and change based on the direction of the light. Its total dimensions are 15”l x 16”w x 2.5”d. It features an inlaid sliding top with a brass clip.
This first edition is a very limited run of 10.
